What insights can I gain from Domain Citations analysis?
OtterlyAI’s Brand Report offers a powerful way to visualize how your brand is being referenced across AI search engines.
One very insightful feature is our Domain Citations section.
Domain Citations shows which domains are being cited in AI-generated answers and how frequently they appear:
On the left, the Domain Citations table lists all domains mentioned within the analyzed AI responses. Each entry displays:
- Domain name
- Category - how OtterlyAI classifies the site type (cannot be customized, they are set by the system)
- Cited count - the total number of times that domain appeared in the dataset
This list can be filtered by domain or category to focus on specific content sources or industry types.
Meanwhile on the right, a Domain Categories Distribution pie chart breaks down all citations by category, giving a quick snapshot of where your visibility comes from. The color-coded sections make it easy to see which types of domains dominate your AI citations.
