Does OtterlyAI include historical data?

Overview

OtterlyAI tracks prompt performance starting from the moment you create a project. It does not collect or display historical data from before your project was set up.

This means your analytics reflect only the activity that occurs during the lifetime of the project.

How it works (and why)?

When you create a new project, OtterlyAI begins collecting data immediately:

- Only prompts run after project creation are tracked

- Analytics and reports include in-project activity only

- No past data is backfilled

Historical Data And Prompts

Historical data is directly linked to your prompts, not just to individual brand reviews. Once prompts are created, they begin collecting and storing data from that point forward.

If you use a set of prompts in a brand review and later delete that review, the historical data associated with those prompts remains in your account. When you create a new brand review using the same saved prompts, the system will continue to display data starting from the original prompt creation date.

Why this approach?

Unlike SEO tools that can analyze existing web content retroactively (because data like indexed pages already exists), prompt analytics depend on real-time tracking. If a prompt wasn’t monitored when it ran, there’s no reliable way to reconstruct that data afterward.

This ensures:

- Accurate and reliable analytics

- Clear reporting

- Consistent data collection
